Came across a wonderful paragraph today and it got me thinking about the wonders of silence.
When younger, I never really like being alone. I remember during school days I would walk around in school and look busy just so I don't feel alone. Now, not sure if it's age or what but I am beginning to enjoy the moments I am with myself and getting lost in making jewelry, in sketching new designs, or just listening to my breathe when running.
Here's the paragraph for you to digest and as we live our busy lives, let us always remember to take a pause, quiet our minds, and the enjoy the silence...
Have you ever heard the wonderful silence just before the dawn? Or the quiet and calm just as a storm ends? Or perhaps you know the
silence when you haven’t the answer to a question you’ve been asked, or the hush of a country road at night, or the expectant pause of a room full of people when someone is just about to speak, or, most beautiful of all, the moment after the door closes and you’re alone in the whole house? Each one is different, you know, and all very beautiful if you listen carefully..... (extracted from Live Laugh Love)
