“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.” - Confucius
Beauty is everywhere, have you seen it? The most beautiful things in the world are not seen through the eyes but felt through the heart.
There are times when I see so much wonderful things around me that I feel my heart will burst. I desperately record them with my camera and sketchbook. Wishing to recreate them into jewelry, immortalising them into mini art sculptures to share but alas, time and my skill holds me back.
To see beauty, take a moment to slow your footsteps and breath, silent the voices in your head, then open your heart and look around you as you consciously take slow, deep breaths.
Beauty is everywhere - these are some of what I saw recently...the way light falls through the water ripples at the bottom of the swimming pool, the multiple shades of grey and patterns of the storm clouds, the form of a neglected child's natural, haphazard hairstyle and glit of his deep, soulful eyes, the vibrant young sprouts that emerge from its concrete environment on the sidewalk...the beauty of the immaterial.
What immaterial beauty did you see today?
